The biggest Splinterlands community is located on Discord, you can find the whole Splinterlands Team there, including The Wizards, Leadership, Support Staff, and Discord Moderators, however, we are not offering support via Discord as you can read in the #tech-support channel. We prefer to complete all support-related issues via support ticket. Feel free to interact with the community, you will find many people with a good attitude willing to help with common questions, but be vigilant, and do not respond to unsolicited direct messages because like in all communities, there are always users trying to scam others. STAY SAFE!
The Splinterlands Discord community guidelines can be viewed in full in the #community guideline channel on the official Splinterlands Discord server.
As Splinterlands grows, more and more scammers are targeting our community. While we can not control the use of Discord direct messages (DMs), we have implemented roles on our Discord server so that users in our community have a way to know for sure that they are communicating with official Splinterlands staff.
Please be very suspicious of Direct Messages. We strongly recommend you disable the Splinterlands Discord privacy setting "Allow direct messages from server members". You can right-click on the server and choose "Privacy Settings" to find this setting.
A prevalent scam we see daily is scammers creating fake Discord accounts with names like “Technical Support” or “Splinterlands” and DM'ing users posing as technical support staff when they see them ask for assistance on our Discord server. A second prevalent scam is a fake account mimicking a real community member’s name that will attempt to trade with you to scam you. If you decide to make a Peer to Peer trade please make sure you verify the person is who they say they are on the Splinterlands server.
Please note that the Splinterlands Support Team will never DM you. If you get an unsolicited DM that appears to be from tech support, it is a scam. If you are ever in doubt, communicate on the Splinterlands server to ensure that you are communicating with the real Splinterlands team.
The following image details the roles and how you can use them to verify who is part of the official Splinterlands team. You can tell by the color of their name, the icon to the right of their name, and check the Discord roles assigned to a user to verify they are an official Splinterlands Staff Member. Just click on the name to check them in the drop-down
