Runi cards that have been staked to the game in Runi Management will now be playable!

SPS Rewards will now be displayed on the Brawl Results screen.

2022-12-06
Ear Candy
A new set of musical tracks and sound effects have been added to the game. Note that you must be logged in for these to play.
There is now music on the initial About, Card Collection, Guilds (list of all guilds and the guild About page), Mana Well (a.k.a. Pack Opening), Market, and Shop screens.
Team Creation buttons now play sound effects.
The Battle Music has been replaced with different tracks for Modern and Wild formats.
Non-Card Market
We have corrected an issue where fractional values sent through the blockchain were not being rejected properly.
Game Mechanics Update
A long standing issue where monsters that had buffs Dispelled would lose stats again when the original buffing monster died has been corrected.
General Updates
The Welcome Back tournament section will now only show official tournaments or tournaments created by approved partners. This is to prevent user created tournaments with inappropriate or offensive names from being prominently displayed on the initial view.
Some SPS/DEC values that were being set to two decimal places, when the display was showing three, have been corrected to have the value go out to the third decimal place properly.
Several inputs for DEC, SPS, or Voucher amounts now drop any values entered after the third decimal place.
The underlying database for the game has been updated to a newer version, which should come with performance improvements when requesting data.
Items Hotfixed into the Game Prior to the Release
The daily burning of 25,000 Chaos Legion packs from the store has been started as described in this passed proposal.
An issue where the monster level on battle replays was displaying as the level they were being credited as for reward calculations, instead of the actual level in the match, was corrected.
2022-11-29
Non-Card Market
The Other Items section of the Market now has content! You can now buy and sell Packs, Land Claims, Totems, and Titles on the non-card section of the Market. Purchases can be made via Credits or Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), and all payments will be made to sellers in DEC. The standard 5% market fee will be applied to what the seller receives on transactions, in the same fashion as the Card Market. Note: Due to the plan for LICENSE tokens will be handled by SPS validator nodes, they were not included in the initial non-card market release. Supporting card SKINS being sold on the market also requires additional development work and they will likely be added in a future update.
Ranked Rewards
We have corrected an issue where the calculation for card level reductions was using the monster level as capped by the current summoner, instead of this actual card level of monster card. This would lead to low level summoners having an overly large negative impact on rewards.
Game Mechanics Update
Adjustments have been made to how buffs/debuffs interact with dead/dying monsters to address some odd behavior when multiple creatures are dying/being revived at the same time.
General Updates
Message handling has been implemented on Tech Modernization pages. This is an initial MVP implementation, and we may adjust the styling and/or duration that messages persist as we get feedback on this implementation. Note: Direct Challenges are not implemented on Tech Modernization pages yet. We expect to add it soon, and challenges will still function on all original client pages.
Blood Stones and Power Stones are now purchasable with DEC instead of merits, as per this passed proposal.
The cost of Spy Glasses in the Guild Store has been adjusted downward from 5 Crowns to 2 Crowns.
A small change was made to always round down after the third decimal place on some balance values being displayed on the SPS Management page. Rounding up could cause people to try to withdraw a balance that was greater than the actual amount, causing it to fail.
LEO has been retired as a Credits purchase option due to low volume/activity.
Items Hotfixed into the Game Prior to the Release
The Brawls fray compositions have been adjusted as described in this post.

Login Issues
Game Mechanics Update
An issue with Stun where it would fail to clear if the Stunning monster was killed has been corrected.
Stun should now interrupt Trample. This was a particularly uncommon situation where a monster with Retaliate and Stun was killed by a monster with Trample, but Retaliated and Stunned the attacker.
An issue with monsters that were killed by Backfire not properly triggering Redemption or Scavenge abilities has been fixed.
Lux Vega
Lux Vega is leaving the building… the Promo page for purchasing Lux Vega will be removed from the shop at 4PM EST following this update.
The display when selecting a Splinter for Lux Vega has been updated to reflect she is not a Dragon summoner.
General Updates
Numerous transactions in Currency Activity → Balance History that were displaying as
token_transfer_multi
should now be logged as the original transaction type again. This will not impact entries from the past few weeks that were already logged as this type of activity.A second layer of sorting has been added to the Currency Activity → Balance History. Previously we only tracked the time the Hive block containing the transaction was processed. The are now logging the time each individual transaction takes place, to address the issue where multiple transactions inside the same block were not in any particular order. This will only impact new Balance History entries after this patch.
The tooltip for Full Earning Requirements on the League Information page has been corrected to work as a tooltip.
The Richlist API (https://api.splinterlands.com/players/richlist) has been updated to provide a list of valid tokens when one is not provided. You can see the top 200 accounts by specifying a token (https://api.splinterlands.com/players/richlist?token_type=SPS) or specify both a token a player to get the top 200 plus that player’s standing in the Richlist (https://api.splinterlands.com/players/richlist?token_type=DEC&player=cryptomancer).
For Node License purchases, transactions will now require Active Key authority on the transaction.
An issue with invalid Reward Delegation still creating a history record has been corrected.
A minor issue where trying to remove a monster from the current team, after having removed the summoner and not yet selecting a new one, could cause errors to appear in the browser console log has been corrected.

SPS Governance Proposal Updates
DEC Liquidity Pool rewards have been changed to SPS as defined by the recently approved SPS governance proposal. View the full details of this proposal here.
We have updated the UI to reflect SPS as a Liquidity Pool reward and removed all references to DEC in the Pools tab of the SPS management page.
SPS configurations have been updated to distribute SPS correctly as a reward for Liquidity providers.
We have reduced the number of reward shares earned by winning players when they use cards in a ranked battle that are below the intended levels for each league. This change was brought forth by the recently approved SPS governance proposal. View the full details of this proposal here.
A calculation service has been implemented to calculate the reward reductions necessary for ranked battle wins based on the BCX of the cards.
A notification has been added to the ranked battle card selection screen that will inform players of selected cards that do not meet the minimum league requirements and the reward reductions that will occur if they choose to use those cards.
We have added a reward reduction section to the rewards calculation display on the Battle Results modal, indicating a breakdown of the reward share reductions.
A ‘Full Earning Requirement’ section has been added to the League Rewards screen that can be accessed by clicking on the Leagues button on the battle page. Here players can view the minimum level requirements for each card rarity, respectively, which is necessary to avoid any reductions in reward share earnings for ranked battles.
Game Mechanics Update
We have updated the Death mechanics of the game. Simultaneous damage from effects like Earthquake or Poison will deal damage to all monsters affected before any of them are considered dead.
Trample & Blast deaths are impacted such that if more than one unit dies, the unit targeted by any Resurrection abilities may be different than prior to this change.
If the monster with Resurrection is killed as part of simultaneous damage, the Resurrection ability will no longer be triggered.
Life gain from Scavenge will only resolve after all simultaneous damage has resolved, and 0 Health monsters are removed from the field. If a monster with Scavenge has taken fatal damage along with other monsters, they will not gain life to survive.
Spliterfest Followup: Lux Vega Release
We have set the sale of the Lux Vega promo card to go live once the countdown timer to the sale ends.
We have enabled the purchase of the Lux Vega card with promo codes and vouchers.
Game mechanics have been implemented to allow the use of the Lux Vega card in the Splinterlands ecosystem.
General Updates
For players at the lower end of Bronze, they would often only be earning a fractional amount of reward points (Focus & Seasonal) that did not display on the Battle Results. We are now rounding up fractional reward shares so that newer users should see 1 point as a minimum if earning any reward points. Playing only Starter cards will still result in no reward points being earned.
An error that allowed users to select Gladius cards from their accounts during Splinterlands Open tournaments has been fixed.
We have reworked a change that was recently made to ensure that the Stampede rule set will no longer come up with the Back to Basics rule set since no monsters would have Trample.

We have implemented a fix to allow promotional card sales to function with the new validator bridge.
An issue that caused users to be unable to view battles when they are not logged in has been corrected.
We have added a new My Events tournament filter that will allow tournament creators to view recently created tournaments and navigate to tournaments that they have created. This will also include tournaments where creation was started but not yet finalized through tournament prizing payment (submitting the prizes distributed for the tournament), making them accessible in case the creator accidentally navigates away before paying for the prizes after paying the initial creation fee.

As part of the tech modernization updates, the following Splinterlands pages have undergone a series of changes as a result of upgrading the underlying technology Splinterlands to streamline future development and integrations with new features. The names of the recently added rulesets, Thorns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire, have been updated as follows:
Thorns will now be known as Briar Patch
Magic Reflect will now be known as Counterspell
Return Fire will now be known as Fire & Regret

We have updated the Aim True ruleset description to reflect that magic attacks can not be dodged along with melee and ranged attacks.
A notification has been added that will display if a player does not have any playable cards to select during battle selection, along with an option that will allow the user to redirect to the internal market. This is typically seen in Brawls or Tournaments where Starter summoners are not available.
We have added a cut-off of a maximum of 99 rounds per battle, at which point the battle will be concluded as a draw. This addresses a specific combination of cards being played where life gain on both sides could outpace fatigue damage.
A cap of 350 cards has been put in place for combining and transferring cards to avoid transactions with too much data to post in a single Hive transaction, which would cause them to fail.
We have added the following display fields to the end-of-year account statement that can be downloaded from the Currency Activity page on Splinterlands.
Price USD - Displays the USD value of the transaction at the time that the transaction was made. Please note that not all transaction entries will display a USD value.
Block_num - Displays the Block number of the transaction.
Transaction_id - Displays the full transaction ID of the transaction.
An issue that caused a KYC/Paypal mismatch error to persist in certain scenarios after the user has reentered the correct details have been resolved.
Transak options for purchasing DEC and SPS with fiat have been enabled again.
Some improvements have been made to the Validator Handling of blocks that are still being processed to ensure that the Validator bridge does not overlook any ongoing transactions.
We have fixed an issue with pulling Hive Engine balances of packs of tokens. This was caused by Steem Engine being unavailable, and we have disabled reading any balances from that market for the time being.
2022-11-01Battle Mechanics Updates
The new Thorns, Magic Reflect, and Return Fire rulesets have been added to the Splinterlands battle mechanics.
We've adjusted the Melee Mayhem ruleset to make it slightly more common while ensuring that it won't come up with Equal Opportunity or Keep Your Distance rulesets.

General Updates
An issue with powering up an existing vote incorrectly, decreasing the outstanding number of votes displayed on the proposal display banner, has been corrected.
An issue with the league-level caps in Gladiator challenge matches that caused Gladiator cards to only be playable as level one has been fixed. The Gladiator cards selected in Gladiator challenge matches will now be playable at the normal level cap for the chosen league of the challenge match.
We have removed the KYC requirement from Spellbook purchases that was wrongfully introduced during the 2022-10-18 release.
The notification displayed when the last member of a guild leaves the guild and the guild is disbanded, has been updated to clearly state that all building upgrades and any contributions made to the guild will be irrevocably lost if the guild is disbanded. In addition, a second notification has also been added to confirm the disbandment of the guild. This was done to ensure that no guilds are disbanded erroneously or without knowing the full implications of disbanding the guild.
We have added an icon to represent Splinterlands open tournaments; this icon can be seen on the events page when viewing, entering, or participating in Splinterland open (Ghost card) tournaments.
The internal market page on Splinterlands has been updated to display the Splex.gg banner.
A bug that caused the banner on the card market page to not cover the entire length of the screen when viewed on larger monitors has been resolved.
A correction has been made to an issue where combining a locked card with a previously locked card would result in an unlocked version of a card. Card locks will now appropriately carry over to the resulting card.
To avoid unnecessary cooldown periods on playable cards, we have implemented a fix to the way that cards are selected for battle. If an account has more than one same-level card of the same unit, the game will select the most recently played card for future battles so that only one card enters a cooldown period.
We have added an option to replace one summoner with another during battle selection. This will allow users to keep their current card selection, given that the units they have selected are still eligible for use with the new summoner selection.
We have added support for Neutral Summoners to prepare for the Lux Vega release.
We made some changes to how the Last 5 teams' information is stored to further improve system performance.

If a player purchases 100 or more Chaos Legion packs, they will be eligible to burn a certain number of VOUCHER for Bonus Chaos Legion Packs.
The player will get a second request to sign a transaction when purchasing bonus packs with vouchers. (In the past, this was done in one transaction.).
Once the player receives their Bonus packs, the Vouchers will get burned.

We have clearly marked our QA server with a "Test Mode On" banner to avoid users testing new functionality on this site to mistake the QA site with the actual Splinterlands site.
2022-10-25
SPS Reward Delegation
We have added functionality to the SPS rewards delegation option that will allow users to delegate multiple types of rewards in one transaction instead of only allowing one specific type of reward or defaulting to all rewards. This option accepts anything from the rewards page that goes to staked SPS (i.e. wild, modern, focus, season, license, land, and/or nightmare). To use this option, pass a “types” argument that contains an array of reward types, i.e. [“wild”,”modern”]. Please note that this is an expanded functionality for the original operation added in on the 2022-09-27 release.
We have added the option to allow fractional delegation of SPS rewards. Reward delegations will now accept up to 2 decimals in the percent. Any value after that is dropped - i.e. trying to do a .001% will round to 0% and undelegate the rewards.
General Updates
A bug that caused players who have had their KYC manually verified to be unable to join KYC-required tournaments has been fixed. If you still run into issues, you may need to contact support for them to update your account's KYC information.
We have updated the Lore of the following Splinterlands cards:
Bramble Pixie (common Earth element card from the Riftwatchers edition).
Kralus (legendary Life element card from the Dice edition).
An issue that caused the Riftwatcher icon not to load on the market activity page has been corrected.
We have made minor performance enhancement changes to the database handling.
Items Hotfixed into the Game Prior to the Release
We have added separate metrics for modern and wild matches in transaction/metrics API, allowing battle data for both modern and wild battles to be exported independently.

We have added "The Watcher" (Riftwatchers presale title) to Splinterlands.
2022-10-18
Reward System Changes:
We have implemented the distribution of SPS reward payouts for Land claim token holders.
The SPS reward pool allocated to land claim token holders is 6.25M SPS per month (decreasing at a rate of 1% / month for 65 months) in rewards, which will be distributed daily and split equally among all plots of land held within Splinterlands game accounts. This would mean that players would receive approximately 40 SPS tokens per month in the first month per plot of land held in their account, with TRACT claims being worth 100 plots and REGION claims being worth 1000 plots.
Land claim token holders can claim their SPS rewards on the SPS management page in the reward claim section.
Once claimed, the SPS rewards for Land claim token holders will be automatically staked to the owners' account.
Users can view their claimed SPS rewards for holding Land claim tokens on the balance history screen in currency activity.
We have implemented the distribution of SPS reward payouts for Tower Defense Nightmare pack holders.
The SPS reward pool allocated to Nightmare pack holders is 1M SPS per month (decreasing at a rate of 1% / month for 65 months) in rewards which will be distributed daily in equal proportions for every Splinterlands Tower Defense Nightmare pack that is held in-game.
Nightmare pack holders can claim their SPS rewards on the SPS management page in the reward claim section.
All SPS rewards for Nightmare pack holders will be directly staked to the owners' account once claimed.
Users can view their claimed SPS rewards for holding Nightmare packs on the balance history screen in currency activity.
Changes in preparation of Validator Nodes:
We have updated the option to purchase Credits using SPS to function after implementing the Validator management system.
All tokens used in Tournaments that are managed by the new Validator system (SPS & Vouchers) can now be processed as external tokens when the Validators go live.
Vouchers used when Purchasing Chaos legion bonus packs have also been adapted to function as external tokens, and purchasing bonus packs with Vouchers will work as follows when the Validator system is in place:
If a player purchases 100 or more Chaos Legion packs, they will be eligible to burn a certain number of VOUCHER for Bonus Chaos Legion Packs.
The player will need to send a token_transfer action to the $SHOP account to burn Vouchers with a memo containing the transaction ID of the eligible entry.
Once the player receives their Bonus packs, the Vouchers will get burned.
Splinterfest Follow-ups
Weirdbeard can now make tournaments with no entry fees on the official Splinterlands tournament account without needing developer intervention.
Private tournaments, with no entry fees, will now appropriately display a notice when entering the wrong password. Previously, this would only happen for tournaments with entry fees.
General:
To prevent any possible exploitation by viewing the outstanding matches from accounts you don’t own during battle selection, we have made the following API changes:
https://api2.splinterlands.com/players/outstanding_match?username=PlayerName - now requires you to pass in your authentication token to get results. This happens automatically inside the game now, so there’s no actual visible difference. However, trying to call the API directly will reject giving results unless you tack on your authentication token i.e. https://api2.splinterlands.com/players/outstanding_match?username=PlayerName&token=AuthenticationToken. Please note that this change may affect 3rd party developers.
We have retired the purchases/pack_purchases API, as it is no longer used. The valid end-point is players/pack_purchases. Please note that this change may affect 3rd party developers.
We are making some improvements to our market data caching to improve performance.
We have removed the Events tab containing Splinterfest from the Shop page.
An issue that caused the focus points (FP) needed to earn the next reward chest for the daily focus to display incorrectly has been fixed.
The play button on the mobile web application has been set not to redirect players to the mobile app and instead allow them to continue playing on the mobile website.
We have resolved an issue that allowed certain users to perform PayPal purchases without conducting the necessary KYC.
The default display order of the SPS Governance proposals has been set to display the listed proposals in order of the latest entered proposal to the oldest listed proposal.
A new notification message has been added that will notify users when a new SPS governance proposal has been listed. By clicking view on the notification option, users will be directed to the proposal tab on the SPS management page.
New SPS governance proposals will also be indicated by a red banner displaying the number of new proposals listed since last viewed next to the proposals tab header on the SPS management page.
The logic for creating a player name when you first join Splinterlands has been updated to ensure that all initially issued game names are unique.
We've added the block number and transaction ID to the Balance History yearly exports.
A “Gladiator Cards” option has been added to direct in-game challenges that will allow for the use of a Gladiator card during a challenge match.
We have resolved an issue that caused Liquidity pool contributions to not display correctly and would prevent the user from being able to claim after a user changed their linked Ethereum wallet address in Splinterlands.
A minor update to the Guild Store text has been made to note Merits can be found in Ranked Reward chests.
Items hotfixed into the game prior to the release:
Bug fixes were introduced to rectify a possible economy issue in the Champion league, where players earned significant SPS with very low ECR. The issues addressed were as follows:
Bug: The average Rshares were calculated from the current day (for the previous 15 days), which caused the number of Rshares to be lower than intended. This has been changed to exclude the present day from the Rshare calculations.
Bug: The average Rshares were calculated from ranked and tournament games. Changes have been made to exclude tournament matches from Rshare calculations and only use ranked battles since tournament battles do not generate Rshares. This will increase the average Rshares over 15 days as was designed.
We added additional error messages when Hive is disabled on Transak or Simpleswap.
2022-10-04
We have updated the text of the Affiliate Program screen message to specify that SPS purchases will not qualify for affiliate rewards.
The Voucher display line that indicates the vouchers owned by an account on the main shop display has been adjusted to display the number of vouchers owned rounded off to three spaces after the decimal.
We have fixed a minor typo on the Splinterlands Tower Defense sales page. *
The blank notification displayed for outstanding Airdrop claims for the Untamed card edition has been fixed. *
A display error on the SPS Governance proposals screen that displayed the required votes needed to pass a proposal as 66% has been corrected to indicate 66.67%.
* These Items were hotfixed into the game prior to the release.
2022-09-27
Riftwatchers:
Riftwatchers has been set to go live!
Users will now be able to open all Riftwatcher mini edition gem packs, and all cards will be eligible for use in tournaments, ranked battles, and ‘All Edition’ Brawl frays.
We have implemented general card functionality to ensure that users can combine cards to level them up and unlock new abilities.
Riftwatcher cards can be purchased and sold on the Splinterlands market. In addition, users can now list cards on the rental market and perform rental transactions.
Riftwatcher filters have been put in place for all card selection screens, such as the cards and the market pages.
The Oshuur airdrop card has been added to Splinterlands and will become available for claiming once all refunds requests from the pre-sale have been processed.
Tower Defense:
We have replaced the Splinterlands Tower Defense (SPLTD) presale with a countdown page that will be counting down to 27 September 2022, 4 pm (EST), when the Tower Defense general pack sale will go live.
Once the Tower Defense countdown timer ends, the SPLTD general sale screen will appear.
The price of the SPLTD Nightmare packs has been updated to display a cost of 8,000 DEC or 8000 Credits per pack.
Users can claim a Voucher discount of 3000 DEC/Credits for each SPLTD pack purchase.
All discounted packs earned from bulk purchases have been set to auto-populate when you enter the pack count you want to purchase. (Applicable to purchases of 100 or more packs)
General:
We have updated the pop-up notification that appears when an account that does not own a Spellbook attempts to cast a vote on the SPS Proposal Voting system. The warning message will now read, "There was an error completing this transaction: You must purchase the Summoners Spellbook."
We have improved the performance of matchmaking. The queue times for bot vs bot matchups have been reduced from 150 seconds to 30 seconds as per the notification in the #tech-updates channel on the official Splinterlands Discord server.
We have clarified the wording displayed on the License tab of the SPS management page to read "Last Reward Claim" instead of "Last Reward".
A broken link in the BEP20 Token Payment Instructions that directed to a 'Page Not Found' screen has been fixed and will now direct to an internal support article from our help desk.
An issue that caused cards not to display for battle selection in Splinterlands Open Tournaments has been fixed.
The daily focus has been set to issue a new daily focus as soon as the rewards for the previous daily focus have been claimed instead of only giving a new daily focus once the user enters the battle page after claiming their rewards for the last daily focus. *
We have added an option that will allow Splinterlands users to share a % of their ranked battle/chest rewards with a secondary account. SPS rewards can be delegated to another account, or accounts, by sending a Hive blockchain operation (requires active key) of sm_delegate_rewards and sending properties of {"username":<username>,"percent":<integer from 0 to 100>}. You can remove delegated rewards by sending a Hive blockchain operation of sm_undelegate_rewards and sending a property of {"username":<username>}. Doing a delegation of 0 will also remove existing delegations. We have also added 2 new APIs to pull delegation information.
You can view current delegations at https://api.splinterlands.com/players/reward_delegations?username=investygator
or a history of delegations at https://api.splinterlands.com/players/reward_delegation_history?username=investygator The history supports limit and offset arguments and by default, has a limit of 100 and a max limit of 1000.
Promo codes for purchasing a Spellbook have been given priority over referral links. Therefore, if a user purchases a Spellbook using a promo code, Splinterlands will allocate the referral link linked to the promo code to their account instead of using the referrer entered when initially creating the free account.
A notice has been added to the buy DEC and SPS pages informing user accounts without a Spellbook that they will need to acquire a Spellbook before purchasing any DEC or SPS through the Splinterlands user interface. *
The button to save Brawl settings has been hidden for Guild members and will now only be visible to Guild leaders, co-leaders, and officers. *
An error that occurred when players were trying to link their ETH wallet address to their Splinterlands account during the Runi whitelist presale and informed users that "Another Hive account has already verified this ETC address" has been fixed. *
* These Items were hotfixed into the game prior to the release.

Splinterlands Tower Defense Presale:
We have added a Tower Defense tab to the Splinterlands shop page that will host a countdown timer that will be counting down until Tuesday, 20 September, 4 pm (est) for the release of the presale for the Splinterlands Tower Defense game.
The Splinterlands Tower Defense presale screen, where users will be able to purchase Tower Defense packs, has been created and will be visible once the countdown ends and the presale starts. This screen will contain the following functionality:
A Buy Now button that will take the user to the purchase screen.
A hover-over information feature displaying the total number of distributed Tower Defense packs (including from Packs Sales, Bonus Packs, and any other Rewards).
Your Packs Purchased display, which indicates the number of packs a user has purchased.
An Airdrop button that will allow users to access the Tower Defense Airdrop screen. Note that the first airdrop will unlock once 250,000 packs have been sold. The remaining airdrops unlock every 500,000 packs distributed. All packs purchased in the official Splinterlands shop and related Bonus Packs will count towards Airdrops.
Runicore Generative NFT (Runi for short):
We have added the Runi whitelist page, which will display an active countdown timer to the launch of the Runi presale.
Once the countdown timer runs out, the page will automatically switch over to the Runi whitelist sales page, where users will be able to purchase their Runi Component Kits. Components Kits will give its owner Guaranteed Early Access when the sale is officially launched on Thursday, 22 September, at 2 pm (est). In addition, the cost of purchasing your Components Kit (the whitelist reservation) will be applied to the cost of minting your Runi.
The Runi shop page also includes additional information sections where users can gain access to the following:
Runi Lore
Stats and abilities
Utility applications
FAQ
General:
We have split the SPS reward pool for ranked battles by leagues to function similarly to how the SPS rewards are split by the league for focus/season loot chests. Instead of two pools (one for Modern and one for Wild) with 900k SPS per season each, the pools will be split as follows:
We have added a day display to the SPS reward claim section on the SPS management page.*
The claim all feature for SPS rewards on the SPS management page has been fixed so that it is no longer greyed out once the cooldown timer for the claim expires. Users will now be able to claim their SPS rewards for Validator node licenses, ranked battle rewards, and Seasonal and Daily Loot Chests once every 23 hours as long as the total amount of the rewards is greater than 1 SPS.
The SPS Validator Node license reward pool has been changed from 3.75M to 3.375M, as stipulated in the SPS whitepaper. *
On the Transfer SPS screen, your current SPS balance can now be selected for copy and pasting.
The Riftwatchers general sale screen has been adjusted to automatically prefill the number of eligible bonus packs when purchasing 100 packs or more. *
Older Splinterlands battle links have been redirected to draw information from the archive tables so that battle links shared on external platforms will remain valid irrespective of their age.
To improve the overall user experience, we have removed the automatic animation that scrolled to the top of a page when a page was viewed, and an option was selected. The pages will now jump straight to the top of the page without the scroll animation.
We have resolved some bugs that arose from the new Streamer mode option, which caused the Tournament Battle previews not to display after the streamer mode has been disabled and the Hide battle results feature in the battle log not to function correctly.
Improvements have been made to the broadcasting of information to the Hive blockchain to enhance the overall performance of Reward claims.
The tournament detail page displayed at the end of the tournament creation process has been altered and will now also show whether the tournament they are about to create is public or private.
A fix was applied to the Cripple ability so that it is no longer removed by the Cleanse ability.
An additional check has been added to the API ‘transactions\by_block’ to verify that a transaction has been processed entirely before returning any requested transaction information to the user.

The new reward system for Validator Node License holders has been implemented. License rewards will be claimable starting Wednesday, 14 September 2022.
3,375,000 SPS is allocated monthly to the Validator Node License holders' rewards. These rewards will be divided among all license holders according to % of all licenses they own in relation to all the licenses sold to date.
Validator License rewards will be calculated backdated for the previous day and claimable the following day. For example, if a license holder claims their rewards on Wednesday, they will receive Tuesday's rewards.
All SPS claimed for Validator License rewards will be staked once claimed.
As part of the new Validator Node license reward system, the functionality that automatically claimed daily Voucher rewards has been disabled. As of Wednesday, 14 September 2022, Validator license holders must claim their Voucher rewards on the SPS management page.
Voucher reward distribution will still be calculated the same way; it is just the claim process that will change.
The Claim All function on the SPS Management screen has been adapted to allow users to simultaneously claim all their SPS (Ranked & License rewards) and their Voucher rewards.
Tech modernization includes a series of updates aimed at upgrading the underlying technology of Splinterlands to streamline future development and integrations with new features. These changes will include updates that affect the overall look and feel of the pages, but basic functionality will remain the same for the players. Pages affected by Tech Modernization in today's release include:
Login pages, the new login URL: is https://next.splinterlands.com/login/
Registration pages
E-mail verification page
Password recovery page
Various changes have been made to support the presale of Riftwatchers packs on the shop page, which will go live on 15 September 2022.
Please note that changes will only be visible after the presale goes live.
We have added a Splinterlands Streamer Mode setting for Tournaments that will allow streamers on various social media platforms to interactively stream tournaments without prematurely revealing the tournament battle results.
Notification messages about tournament results will be hidden until the next time you log in when this setting is enabled.
Once the Streamer Mode option is selected, all battle results for the current tournament and indicators that might reveal the outcome of the battles will be hidden.
Text that still displayed DEC as a ranked battle reward on the landing page when logged into a Splinterlands account that does not own a Spellbook, and the buy spellbook, and Dark Energy Crystals displays have been updated to reflect SPS ranked rewards.
We have added a new API to pull the Liquidity Pool claim history. This can be queried at https://api.splinterlands.com/players/lp_claim_history?username= <username>. The default is the last 100 results, but it supports limit and offset arguments with a hard limitation of 1,000 results per request. You can also filter off comma-separated lists of "claim_txs", "addresses", and/or "tokens".
The Governance proposal IDs have been set to increment by 1 to fix an issue where the proposal ID numbers jumped up by various amounts.
Please note that with the introduction of tech modernization, all Splinterlands domains:splinterlands.io www.splinterlands.io www.splinterlands.com steemmonsters.io www.steemmonsters.io www.steemmonsters.com will now be redirected to splinterlands.com

A Riftwatchers countdown page has been added to the Splinterlands shop. This page can be found by Clicking on the Gems tab header. The timer on this page has been set to count down to September 15th, 2022 when the Riftwatchers presale will begin.
The PayPal integration has been updated to allow users to make credit purchases using a Debit or Credit Card.
The error notification to inform users that they have reached their maximum Spellbook purchase limit via PayPal has been rewritten to provide better clarity.
An issue where the last_played date of rented cards could still be viewed on other players' accounts has been corrected.
Restrictions have been put into place for viewing the 'last used' & cooldown data of an opponent. This was done to counter possible exploits in Ranked Battles, Tournaments, and Brawls.
In order to have the 'last_used' data populated, the API calls for '/cards/find', '/cards/collection/:name' and '/cards/collection_by_card' have have to be appended with authentication data ('token=ACCESS_TOKEN&username=SL_ACCOUNT_NAME') retrievable via '/players/v2/login'
Detailed Instructions
Note: The variables for sig & ts have to be generated via email + password, hive account + private posting key or hive account + keychain. An example is shown here.
A countdown timer has been added to the SPS rewards section on the SPS management dashboard, which will display the remaining time until the next opportunity to claim SPS rewards after a user has claimed their rewards for the day.
The SPS Ranked Rewards claim time has been reduced from 24 hours to 23 Hours.
The SPS ranked reward claims system has been converted to run as a Hive transaction in order to avoid duplicate requests from being processed at the same time.
Various Splinterbites snippets have been updated to reflect the new SPS ranked rewards. We have also added a few new Splinterbites to the rotation roster and we fixed a few errors found in some of the Splinterbites.
2022-08-30
We have made some changes to the SPS ranked reward claims system that will allow users to only claim the SPS rewards they earned once per day as long as there is at least 1 SPS to claim.
An important note for those scripting claims - Attempting to claim from a large number of accounts simultaneously may result in some of them being lost. Please try to give a reasonable spread of 3 seconds (1 Hive block) between claims from more than a few accounts at a time.
An issue where Claim All could attempt to claim 0 amounts of SPS has been resolved.
We have increased the number of accounts handling broadcasting transactions to the Hive network, increasing our ability to handle requests per block. *
We have spread out our broadcasting of transactions to the Hive network. This means that even if one particular transaction type gets overloaded, such as SPS claims, it won't impact other transactions. *
The lore for the Pelacor Mercenary, Pelacor Bandit, Pelacor Deceiver, and Pelacor Conjurer has been updated.
On the SPS management proposal screen:
The threshold for the votes in favor of a proposal that is needed for the proposal to be passed has been adjusted to 66% for all proposals moving forward.
We have changed the 'votes for' to 'total votes' which will now be the sum of the total amounts of votes cast for a specific proposal.
A bug that caused a display issue when viewing the Splinterfest page on Safari Mobile, has been fixed.
Restrictions have been put into place for viewing the 'last used' data of an opponent. This was done to counter possible exploits in Ranked Battles, Tournaments, and Brawls.
The Currency Activity export functionality, which allows users to download their balance history, now includes records of single and multiple pack opening transactions.
We have fixed another issue that was causing matches to error resulting in a double draw. There was an issue with the handling of cards that had been submitted on a team, then burnt or combined into another card prior to the battle actually resolving. This mainly impacted brawls or non-real-time tournaments.

We have implemented the new reward pool interface of the SPS battle rewards for both Modern & Wild ranked battles.
The text on the battle history pop-up has been changed to display the SPS won for the match instead of DEC. All matches prior to this change will still display the DEC winnings.

All DEC Guild bonus text has been replaced with R-share bonus text.

The Currency Activity page has been updated to display all staked SPS and unclaimed SPS
rewards.
SPS Governance Changes
Phase 1 of the SPS governance proposal voting system has been added to Splinterlands.
Users will be able to Upvote or Downvote proposals, with their current Staked SPS giving the value of their Vote.
Users can change, or cancel, their vote any time before the Proposal ends.
If a user gains additional Staked SPS, there is an option to Power Up an old vote, to update it to the new value.
In this first phase, all proposals will need to be entered onto the site by the Splinterlands staff. We expect to expand upon this in a later phase.
Splinterfest
An Event tab featuring information and ticket sales for Splinterfest 2022 has been added to the Splinterlands Shop page.
The old Land tab has been removed from the main Shop page.
Additional Changes
We corrected an issue that caused the payment currency field not to populate in the shop purchases table when Chaos Legion Packs were purchased. This would cause Pack purchases to be missing on the Currency Activity page. Impacted purchases have had the missing data added. *
Measures have been put into place to improve the handling of bad tournament addresses. If an invalid tournament URL is entered, you will now be redirected to the main Tournament page.
The ‘update_rental_price’ operation has been redone to address 2-day minimum rentals. In the case that a card is already rented, it will now only update the price AFTER the current rental has been fully canceled. *
When purchasing Credits with ETH, there is now a button to launch the payment transaction in your browser’s Web3 Wallet.
An issue that caused Tournament and Brawl battles to error out, resulting in a draw, has been fixed.
A warning has been added to make sure users send the exact required amount of cryptocurrency when purchasing credits with BTC, LTC, or ETH.

Splinterlands Open has been added as a new tournament mode.
Splinterlands Open tournaments rely on skill rather than playable cards in a user's collection. At the beginning of each Splinterlands open tournament, all participants will be given a complete set of cards to use based on the tournament’s series, league, and foil giving each participant an equal playing field. This means that all participants will have access to the same card selection. These Decks will be built off of the selection of playable sets and their levels as determined by the Tournament League. This can include tournaments focused around high-level/expensive decks, specific tournament levels (bronze, silver, gold, etc.), gold foil, etc regardless of rank, any battle mage may compete.
We have removed Litecoin and Bitcoin as Spellbook purchase options, as these are currently only supported for Credit purchases through a third party.
The minimum Credit purchase amount now populates for all cryptocurrencies. The text on the screen has also been updated to remove the $1 minimum purchase text, which is no longer accurate for all crypto options.
A display bug in the BTC/LTC/ETH Simpleswap integration has been addressed. Users will no longer be able to edit the Deposit Wallet Adress as that may lead to payment errors and loss of funds.
The Huobi exchange has been added to the Purchase SPS screen:
We have added an information feature to the Airdrops screen that will allow users to hover over locked airdrop cards to see the total packs necessary for the airdrop card to be unlocked, as well as the number of packs required to receive a guaranteed airdrop card.
An issue where redeeming a Chain Golem promo code would result in creating the card as part of the Untamed set, even though it was moved to the Promo set, has been corrected.
We have added scattershot as a summoner ability in preparation for the upcoming release of Conqueror Jacek. Note that scattershot as a summoner ability will only work with Magic and Ranged attacks.
“Claim All” functions have been added to the Pools tab on the SPS management screen that will allow users to claim all their LP rewards held on a Selected chain.
Claim on BSC
Claim on ETH
Claim on Hive
We made changes to the Combine All processing to improve performance. *
Additional changes to transition Voucher payments to the SPS Validator system have been added. These are currently not active but have been put into place in preparation for the eventual transition into the SPS Validator system.
An issue that we believed might have resulted in unintentional draws in tournaments was patched. These draws appear to still be occurring, so this issue does not appear to be the root cause of the problem.*
The e-mail templates, i.e. Forgot Password, Hive Key Request, etc., have had their designs updated.

We have flattened the overall range of Merits earned in Chests. Players will no longer see extremely rare (Legendary) chests with thousands of Merits, but the overall number of Merits has been increased for other “luck” rolls on the number of Merits in a chest. The overall average of Merits across leagues will be the same as before this change.
We are once again accepting BTC, ETH, and LTC for Credit purchases! This is being done by utilizing the Simpleswap service, so higher minimum purchases may apply.
Some issues with Liquidity Pool rewards have been addressed
Issues that prevented users from claiming LP pool rewards with certain browser and wallet combinations have been addressed.
An issue with certain wallets not displaying rewards for Liquidity Pools has been fixed. *
A Bug on the User Interface of the LP reward page, that caused users who have connected only an ETH wallet or two different wallets on (BSC & ETH), to have issues with the LP rewards & claim button display has been fixed.
The Daily Welcome Back message has been updated. *
A problem with Tournaments failing to accept payments or send rewards with the THGaming token has been corrected. *
Some initial changes to eventually facilitate switching over to the SPS Validators for processing SPS transactions have been added. This code is currently still disabled, and everything should still function as before.
We corrected the Grandmaster Rathe airdrop profile picture that incorrectly had the “Death” element border color instead of a “Life” Border color. *
We have made a change to correct the handling of surrenders. Previously, in certain rare situations accounts could get wins without submitting a legal team when their opponent surrendered.
Adjustments have been made so that when a Challenge is issued and accepted, if neither player submits a team the match will be dismissed, instead of declaring the player that issued the challenge the winner.
We have made sure that the Active Authority is set to “On” by default for all new spellbook purchases, regardless of how the purchase was made. We also have set any remaining accounts where this was not already set, and that own a spell book, to have their ‘Require Active Authority’ set to “On” to increase security.
A typo on the Defend Focus description displayed on the Daily Focus screen has been corrected.
The option to Tokenize a License has been added to the SPS management → Licenses tab. This allows you to safely transfer them to and from Hive Engine from within the game.
We have removed the text that displays that you have received 3000 CREDITS on the Spell Book purchase confirmation screen when redeeming a promo code.
We believe we have corrected the main issue that was occasionally causing battles to fail to resolve properly. You should no longer regularly see stuck tournaments, brawls, or battles that end in a draw when both sides submitted legal teams. *
A new API has been added that lets users easily look at the current number of Season and focus reward-shares, and chests an account has pending. An example of this would be calling, “https://api.splinterlands.com/players/current_rewards?username=hardpoint”.

SPS Management Screen Updates
We have updated the SPS management page to include a POOLS tab that will allow users to claim their Liquidity Pool rewards gained from providing Liquidity for DEC, SPS, and/or Vouchers on Ethereum, BSC, or Hive, directly from their UI.
We have made changes to the Sps management pages that will allow users to copy and paste text displayed on the SPS management screens.
The old Claim Uniswap Rewards function has been removed from the player menu, as claim functionality is now found on the SPS Management → Pools tab
We have updated the text on the SPS management screen license tab to read “Node licenses are also available on the following third-party marketplaces:”
Additional Updates
We have corrected an error that did not count the Scarred Llama towards the bonus focus points when it is played in the daily Healing focus.
THGaming, a Hive Utility Token created by Threshold Guardian Gaming has been added as an option for tournament entry fees and rewards.
We have added the following tokens as payment options for purchasing credits.
Emp Money (BSC - BEP20 token)
Huobi Token (Eth - ERC20 token)
The former “Nodes” Tab Header on the Splinterlands shop page has been renamed to “Licenses”
We have fixed the issue with a white bar displaying at the bottom of the battle screen UI on larger monitors.
We have updated Anytime Tournament tie-breakers to use the Modern rating for Modern format tournaments. Wild tournaments will continue to use the Wild rating as a third tie-breaker.
We have put measures in place that will no longer allow users to start battle matches from a Free-to-Play account without a password. Users attempting to start a battle from a Free-to-Play account without a password will receive the following error message:
{'success': False, 'error': 'No transaction signature.'}
A caching issue that could cause cards with less than 5% market fees to not appear on third-party markets, or API calls to 'market / for_sale_by_card', has been fixed.
Additional minor performance improvements have been made to better the overall Splinterlands experience.
We have added additional logging for battle errors as we continue to try to resolve the sporadic issue where battles fail to resolve properly, causing the match to draw.
The old API method for claiming Uniswap rewards was disabled earlier this week. It did not work correctly with the new Liquidity Pool rewards, so was disabled until today’s update could add the new functionality.*
An issue that caused the market history on Peakmonsters to not display certain transactions has been corrected. Note: We are still working to back populate missing historical transactions.*

SPS Management Screen Updates
We have reworked the User Interface design of the SPS Management screen, it now offers a dashboard that allows the user to manage their SPS, vouchers, and Node licenses respectively on individual tabs as follows.
SPS Tab:
The SPS airdrop feature has been removed from the SPS management screen. However, users will still be able to claim any outstanding SPS airdrops.
Vouchers Tab
Voucher balances (In-game and on Hive Engine) are now displayed in the Voucher Tab on the SPS Management Dashboard.
Options to transfer vouchers to players and into/out of Hive Engine have been added to this screen
Nodes Tab
Validator Node License Balances (In-game and on Hive Engine), as well as daily vouchers & SPS earned from Validator Node Licenses, are now displayed in the Nodes Tab on the SPS Management Dashboard.
Options to transfer Validator Node Licenses to players and into/out of Hive Engine have been added to this screen.
Additional Updates
We have updated some Daily Focus tooltips and text that were out of date.
An issue with Brawls & Any Time tournament matches, where cards submitted on teams would not immediately go onto cool down, was corrected.
An Issue causing some Log-in attempts to fail has been fixed. *
We fixed an error that reoccurred causing accounts that purchased a Spellbook to not receive $3 worth of Credits, and we have credited these accounts accordingly.
We have made some code changes to fix an issue that caused canceled tournaments, or tournaments that failed to start, to not refund players.
The Guild Ranked View has been updated to use the greater of the modern or wild ratings for each player's Guild Rating.
We have banned some e-mail domains from being used to create new accounts. These domains are from temporary, or "burner", e-mail services, where the account automatically deletes after a set period. Using these domains or e-mail services would leave users without the recourse of e-mail support or e-mail confirmation of account ownership, for the accounts created on them.

Ranked Rewards Updates
The Daily Focus mechanics have been updated and each Ranked battle win will contribute rshares toward the Daily Focus chests, even if no daily focus cards are used. However, each card used that follows the daily focus will give a 10% bonus to the amount of focus points earned for that battle.
Rshare distribution has been implemented that will allow both Summoners and Monster Units to contribute to bonus rshare earnings, but only monster units that naturally have the required ability will qualify for this bonus (a monster unit that receives the required ability through summoner buffs will not qualify).
Higher tier Loot Chests that may contain Potions, will now contain more Potions per chest than lower tier Loot Chests.
Merits have been added as a possible reward in loot chests. The number of Merits received from a chest will be randomly determined in a similar manner to how the DEC chest rewards are calculated.
14 Amazing new ability-based Daily Focuses have been added to the game. Note: Not all of the new daily focuses will be available in lower leagues, due to fewer cads having certain abilities at the levels allowed for those leagues.
The feature that ensured that a player’s active Element for the Daily Focus was always available has been disabled.
We have changed the way that a player's Energy Capture Rate (ECR) will drain. ECR will now drain at 1% of the current ECR until it reaches 50%, after that the ECR will drain at a rate of 5% of the current ECR per ranked battle played.
Splinterlands documentation has been updated to reflect ranked rewards changes.
Additional Updates
The daily Welcome Back screen has been updated.
New Splinterlands accounts that acquire a Spellbook by using a Promo Code will no longer receive $3 worth of Credits.
The minimum amount of time that a card can be rented has been changed to 2 days, rather than the current minimum time of 1 day.
An issue where the League advancement message would re-appear if you had dropped down a league due to rating loss, then regained enough rating to advance has been corrected. *
We have fixed a bug that caused players with zero battles to be displayed on the Leaderboard.
Improved SPS delivery! The transparency has been removed from the new SPS claim animation.
A bug that caused Modern battles to display as a Wild battle in the Modern Top Battles List has been fixed.
New Modern and Wild league badge art have been added to the game!
We have implemented a Captcha for the Splinterlands account creation of free accounts. This is meant to address issues with automated account scripts accidentally, or maliciously, creating vast quantities of unused free accounts.
Additional checks have been added to some market transactions, which should improve performance by preventing unneeded database calls.
We have made some changes to support the upcoming Liquidity Pool reward system. See this post for more info.

We have fixed an error that caused cards not to enter a cooldown period properly when delegated. We have also fixed an issue where when listing a card for rent, it would not display that the card was on cooldown. You would still receive an error when trying to list it, but now it prompts you ahead of time.
We have implemented a fix to try to address the unintentional flees/draws that started occurring after the last patch.
We have fixed a reported bug with the new update price function on the market that caused cards to get listed incorrectly. *
We have fixed an issue with new accounts that bought a Spellbook but did not receive $3 in credits after the Modern & Wild update.*
The Chain Golem image has been fixed and is now displaying correctly in Peakmonsters.*
We have made a change to better address errors when Simpleswap transactions fail. * * These items were already hot fixed to production last week.
2022-07-14
The new Modern and Wild Ranked battle formats have been implemented into Splinterlands. For more details please visit the PeakD post on Modern & Wild ranked battle formats.
We have fixed a display error with the DEC and SPS conversion rate in Hive.
Since free accounts can no longer hold DEC or SPS, we have removed both DEC and SPS as payment options for Spellbooks for the time being.
We have made changes to how updating the price of cards for sale and rent is handled. Related to this, bulk purchases on the in-game card market will once again go through for any cards that are still for sale, instead of failing if any single card is no longer available.
Tutorial screen:
Some minor text changes have been made on the tutorial screen to more accurately reflect the addition of Chaos Legion starter cards.
The display at the end of the Tutorial has been renovated. It will no longer reflect ratings gained in the battle results since players do not actually gain any rating from the tutorial match.
An issue where trying to reload the browser during the Tutorial fight, that caused the UI to error, has been corrected. You will now reload back to the main Battle Results screen.
UI Changes:
The referral field when signing up for Splinterlands is no longer case-sensitive.
A few bad image references have been removed from the User Interface. You should now see fewer error messages in browser console logs.
There were some minor UI adjustments made to the Novice battle results to better center the information displayed.
We have added additional checks around resolving battles to hopefully prevent tournaments and brawls from getting stuck. If the error occurs that would have normally caused a match to get "stuck", it should now automatically result in a draw.
The Copyright year on the Splinterlands site has been updated to reflect the current year as per the system clock.
An Edition check has been added to prioritize using Alpha cards over Beta cards when selecting cards for battle. Alpha cards will now always appear if you also have a Beta card of identical level and gold foil.
We have fixed the sound icon on reward screens that would incorrectly always display as ‘Enabled’ initially, even when sound was disabled.
We have removed the warning that appears using when using starter cards in battles from tournaments and brawls. This warning message should now only appear in Ranked battles.
An additional option has been added to the card drop-down filter on the Select Team screen that allows users to view monsters with no attack ability.
A text button that allows users to replay their previous daily focus reward has been added to the Daily Focus details screen.
The end-of-season text was updated to better reflect the new Ranked Rewards system.
Due to a third-party service no longer accepting US-based customers, some Cryptocurrency payment options have been temporarily disabled. Specifically, BTC, BCH, ETH, ETN, & LTC will be unavailable while we work on adding a replacement service for these currencies.
Some accounts still had Mystery Potions on their account balance, even though they were previously refunded. These have been cleared and should no longer appear in the Other Items screen.
2022-06-28The type of the Daily Focus reward chests will now be based on the players' current league at the time that Focus begins, instead of the highest league achieved during the previous season.
Rshare calculation has been updated to further incentivize card ownership or renting.
We have updated the Balance History Exports page, it will now use the player join date or default to 2018 instead of fetching the earliest balance history record. This was done to improve the loading speed of the Balance History export page and address issues for accounts that have a large amount of historical data.
Some UI issues on the Buy DEC/SPS screens that caused the price to display incorrectly have been corrected.
Changes were made that will allow more than one tournament to end at the same time. (We will start with allowing 3 tournaments to end at the same time as opposed to only allowing 2 tournaments to end at a time, prior to this change.)
We have replaced the old SPS Claim Animation (Spinning Teeth) with an exciting new Spinner animation:
The Transak memo field has been changed to read-only and will remain hidden so that users can not change the wallet address or the memo field during the Transak purchase process.
A minor typo on the Waka Splinterblade Lore page has been corrected.
2022-06-21An issue logging in using Hive Signer has been corrected.
Some improvements have been made to token transfer handling. Invalid transfers, such as zero amounts, will now be rejected earlier to improve performance.
2022-06-16A text spacing issue with Chaos Legion cards, on the Team Creation screen and when hovering over a card in battle, has been fixed.
The default setting for card displays has been changed to Regular & Gold Foil Cards. Once a user has changed this filter to their preferred view, the selection they have chosen will be remembered and displayed the next time they view cards.
Some changes were made to the caching of player information to try to address users seeing old data when they refresh their browser.
Balance History has been changed to Currency Activity. This portion shows the history of transfers. The UI of Currency Activity has also been reworked to allow users to export custom history ranges, limited to a 1 year period.
The ‘Buy DEC’ screen has been updated and more information has been added to it.
When attempting to purchase multiple cards, if one of them is unavailable the entire purchase will now fail.
A few small UI fixes/improvements were made to the Buy SPS screen.
We have added a Unique User ID field to the player information (player_uuid), this was added to make it easier to track accounts, from being a free account to having purchased a Spellbook.
Improvements were made to the way posting keys are checked for login to pick up when they have been changed externally.

Additional measures have been taken to hide opponent details that could be viewed on API calls.

Some changes were made to the battle system so that expired battles would get processed more efficiently and to prevent users from getting stuck in the battle queue waiting on a match to resolve.
The DEC information on the battle results screen has been fixed so that it no longer displays a message for users in Bronze III, to get to Bronze III to earn DEC, when they earn 0 DEC due to very low ECR or because they are using Starter cards.

In preparation for the release of SPS Validators we have made some changes to the way that Vouchers are distributed:
Vouchers will no longer be automatically added directly to Splinterlands accounts, this has been put into place to spread the load of updating player balances after vouchers are distributed.
You will now be able to view and claim your distributed vouchers on the SPS Management page in the rewards section.
In an attempt to stop automated systems from reading pending card rental or sales transactions and buying/renting cards before they are listed on the market, we have disallowed cards to be purchased or rented within the same block that the transaction was initially created. Currently, there is a 3 block (about 9 seconds) delay before a card can be purchased, after being listed. We may adjust this time in the future based on data collected and player feedback.
We have fixed an issue that could lead to some users seeing gaps in their balance history. The data should now appear correctly in the game.
A rare issue that caused accounts to not get created properly if the account was created from a blockchain transaction interacting with the game instead of through the APIs or site has been fixed.

We have disabled EOS payments as a Credit purchase option.
The ranked battles have been updated so that the player will now still be able to submit a team and get credit towards daily quests even if their opponent surrenders.

The Alternate Tournament Fee validation has been corrected so that it will now accept 1 of a particular currency eg. 1 DEC, 1 SPS, 1 Hive, etc
We have made some performance improvements to Battle processing to try to address getting stuck waiting for the match to resolve.
To help prevent win trading, we plan on changing the information displayed on the “Enemy Found” screen.
“Enemy found” will be changed to “Match begins”
The opponent’s name will no longer be displayed in ranked battles.
The Recently Played teams displaying the last 5 battles on the ‘Enemy Found’ screen when entering into battle will no longer display surrendered matches for opponents. Please note that the last 5 battles will be reset with this update and only start populating with battles that have occurred following this change.

Users will now be able to acknowledge all received gifts with a single click, instead of having to scroll through all the gifted cards.
Cards listed for Sale or Rent will no longer incorrectly appear as available for Challenge matches.
We have addressed a rare issue where cards on cooldown could still be put up for rent.
We have reviewed the way that the system selects the cards that are used for battle. If a user has multiple cards of the same level in one account (owned, rented, or through delegation), the system will select cards used for battle in the following order:
Cards will be selected by level, if the levels are tied Gold foil cards will be selected.
If the level and the Gold foil cards are tied, cards not owned by the user (rented or delegated cards) will be selected.
If the level, Gold foil cards, and ownership are tied, the most recently used cards will be selected.
Lastly, should the most recently used cards be tied, the card ID will be used to select the card used in battle.

Updates to the UI on the Spellbook Purchase page to clarify wording with regards to the Bronze II requirement for earning DEC. The UI text will now read as follows: ~ “Purchasing a Summoner’s Spellbook allows you, the Battle Mage, to harness the elemental magic contained within its pages. With it, you can earn daily quest and season rewards, compete in tournaments, purchase packs, battle your way to higher leagues and even better rewards, and more!
