TronTrade
DEC can be traded for TRX (Tron) on this Tron DEX.
In order to login to TronTrade.io, you'll need a Tron wallet (We recommend Tronlink.) Once your wallet is set up, make sure to link your wallet to your Splinterlands account for easy transferring of Dark Energy Crystals.
Freezing TRX to Obtain Blockchain Resources
In order to transact on the Tron blockchain, you will need a small amount of TRX to provide the Energy and Bandwidth necessary. Consult the HELP PAGE at TronTrade for more information about trading fees and blockchain resource costs.
To carry out gas-free transactions, it is recommended to Freeze some TRX to obtain these resources.
Energy and Bandwidth needs fluctuate, but for this example, we will be freezing 75 TRX for Bandwidth and 150 TRX for Energy, which should be enough to carry out transactions on TronTrade.
First, you must acquire some TRX in your wallet. It is available on several major exchanges, including Bittrex.
In your Tronlink wallet, click Freeze and you will be taken to a Tronscan.io page where you can obtain network resources.
Click Obtain in the upper right, which will open the Obtain Resources and Tron Power popup.
Choose TRON Power and Bandwidth from the Obtain dropdown.
Enter 75 in the Amount (TRX) field.
Check the box confirming that you will freeze your TRX for at least 72 hours.
Click Freeze and confirm the transaction. The resources should update within moments.
Next, click Obtain once again; this time choose TRON Power and Energy from the dropdown.
Enter 150 in the Amount (TRX) field.
Check the box, click Freeze and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
After a few moments, you should see your new resources reflected in your wallet.
Buying DEC on TronTrade
Make sure you have enough resources in your Tronlink wallet (see above).
Sign into Trontrade with your Tronlink wallet and go to the DEC/TRX Market Page.
You'll see your balances of TRX and DEC on in the column on the left. Click the Buy tab.
Looking at the open Sell Orders in red under Order Book, locate the lowest priced Sell Order that is selling enough DEC to fill your intended buy.
Input the price from that Sell Order in the Price field for your Buy Order.
Choose the amount of DEC you would like to buy, or use the slider bar to designate how much TRX you would like to spend.
Click Buy and sign the transaction in your wallet. Your order will be confirmed and filled shortly and your balances updated.
Selling DEC on TronTrade
Make sure your Tronlink wallet is linked to your Splinterlands account.
Go to the Dark Energy Crystal Menu by clicking on your DEC balance. You should see the balances in your various linked wallets on the left.
Select Tron Wallet from the dropdown menu.
Input the amount of DEC you wish to transfer to Tronlink and click Transfer Out.
Sign into Trontrade with your Tronlink wallet and go to the DEC/TRX Market Page.
You'll see your balances of TRX and DEC on in the column on the left. Click the Sell tab.
Looking at the open Buy Orders in green under Order Book, locate the highest price Buy Order that is buying enough DEC for you to fill.
Input the price from that Buy Order in the Price field for your Sell Order.
Choose the amount of DEC you wish to sell. Its value in TRX should automatically be filled in.
Click Sell and sign the transaction in your wallet. Your order will generally be confirmed and filled in a minute or two.
